Welcome to Peninsula FC Soccer

Since 1974 Peninsula Soccer has been fostering a love of soccer and developing players from across the Saanich Peninsula. Volunteer directed and run, the club has played a part in the lives of thousands of local families. There are boys and girls, youth and senior, teams who train and play at our home field at Blue Heron Park, and away at clubs all over lower Vancouver Island.

Peninsula Soccer depends on the support of players and their families, as well as generous local businesses who step up each year to sponsor teams, equipment and the facility. Volunteering by parents ensures that teams are equipped, trained and have the opportunity to participate in well-organised matches. Kids benefit from the friendships and experience of being part of a team, as well as fitness and skills. Our community benefits from a thriving club and the development of the beautiful game.

We now have a fantastic clubhouse at blue heron park thanks to fundraising efforts and grants. The club is always in need of additional funds to maintain and upgrade the fields, building and access.

Giant Hogweed/Poisonous Hemlock

We have recently been made aware that the giant hogweed and or poisonous hemlock located on the highway property has been approaching the Blue Heron property.

Both of these plants are extremely dangerous. We have been in contact with the CRD about these. While they are not on the Blueheron property, they can blow over onto our parking lot.

If you see any small sticks on the ground, or anything looking like a hollow stick/reed please do not touch.

Please keep children and pets away from anywhere close to the highway. That is where the infestation is. It is mostly concentrated in the southwest area behind the seacans on the berm.

Thank you for your cooperation.

U17 Girls Gold B Cup Winners

A huge congratulations to our U17 Girls Gold – Coastal United team with their victory in the B Cup finals on Sunday, defeating JDF!

It was an exciting game, and although JDF tried to rally, their late goal could only bring the final result up to 5-2.  A solid win!

They have qualified for the BC Provincial championships in Vernon in July and will also be playing in the Coastal Cup which starts April 18/19.

Well done, and good luck in these future competitions.
