Peninsula FC Financial Assistance

At Peninsula FC, we believe every child should have the opportunity to play soccer, regardless of financial circumstances. Several external financial assistance programs, listed below, are available to support Peninsula FC families.

Step 1: Apply to External Programs

As a first step, players must register, and full payment must be made.  Families can then apply to the following external programs, which provide financial assistance for organized sports registration fees. If and when Peninsula FC receives funding on behalf of a child, the club will refund the amount of the grant back to the family.

  • KidSport: KidSport is a nationwide program that offers financial assistance to subsidize registration fees for kids participating in organized sports. To apply, you must complete an application form available online at KidSport Greater Victoria.
  • JumpStart: JumpStart is supported by Canadian Tire and provides financial assistance to subsidize registration fees for kids in organized sports. Visit the JumpStart website for application details.
  • Athletics for Kids (A4K): Athletics for Kids supports families with limited financial resources by subsidizing registration fees for kids in organized sports. Visit the Athletics for Kids website for application details.

Step 2: Peninsula FC Family Assistance Fund

If additional financial support is needed after applying to the above programs, families may apply to the Peninsula FC Family Assistance Fund to help cover registration fees.

How to Apply

  1. Submit an Application
    Email the following supporting documents to president@peninsulasoccer.ca:

    • Confirmation of application to KidSport, JumpStart, and/or Athletics for Kids (e.g., application receipts or approval/denial notices)
    • A brief letter explaining your financial situation and need for further assistance
  2. Application Review
    Applications will be reviewed by the Peninsula FC Board of Directors who will review applications and respond to applicants at its earliest opportunity.

Additional Information

  • Deadlines: Applications must be submitted by:
    • Fall Season: 30 August
    • Spring Season: 30 March
  • Funding Limitations: Financial assistance is not guaranteed and depends on available funds.
  • Confidentiality: All application information will remain confidential.
