PFC BOUNDARY

Players eligible to register for PFC soccer should reside:

North of the municipal boundary between Central Saanich and Saanich (from Tod Inlet to Bear Hill and Dooley Roads to the Sidney Channel)

*Any player who does not reside within the boundary but wants to play for PFC must adhere to the L.I.S.A. (Lower Island Soccer Association) rules regarding Transfers and/or Releases.

YEARLY SCHEDULE

SEPTEMBER – The season officially starts with all teams taking to the field for scheduled practices and games either the first or second weekend after Labour Day
OCTOBER – Scheduled Practices and Games continue
NOVEMBER – Scheduled Practices and Games continue
DECEMBER – All teams take mandatory winter break -­‐ exact date will vary depending on age level
JANUARY – Scheduled Practices and Games restart-­‐ exact date will vary depending on age level
FEBRUARY – Scheduled Practices and Games continue. Some older teams (U13+) may have their season finish in late February if they are eliminated from any playoff competitions
MARCH – The season will official come to a close before Spring Break….unless a team (U13+) is still competing in local playoffs or provincial championships
APRIL – Potential playoff games for older teams (U13+) involved in playoffs/provincial championships + possible assessment/tryout sessions for U11 -­‐ U18 aged players
MAY – Potential playoff games for older teams (U13+) involved in provincial championships
JUNE – We take a break and breathe!
JULY – Provincial Championship Tournaments from previous season if any teams still playing + Registration Deadline  (July 31) for the next Fall/Winter Season
AUGUST –  Team formation begins with possible additional assessment or tryout sessions for U11 -­‐U18 aged players

LEVELS

 

Peninsula FC offers youth soccer from the age levels of U5 – U18.

The age level your child will register to play at is dependent on their age at the end of the calendar year (Dec 31)

*EX: If your child is 6 years old as of Dec 31…they will registered to play at the Under 7 (U7) age level

 

Does you child want to play above their normal age level? PLAYING UP POLICY

Do you want to register you child to play in an age level that is younger that what they should be playing? PLAYING DOWN POLICY

 

MINI’S

U5 & U6 = Separate Boys and Girls teams play in a dual age grouping at the U6 level
U7 & U8 = Separate Boys and Girls teams play in a dual age grouping at the U8 level
U9 & U10 = Separate Boys and Girls teams play in a dual age grouping at the U10 level
*Co-Ed teams may be formed at (U5 to U10)  if registration levels are not sufficient
*U6, U8 and U10 teams play “In-House” (only home games)

 

SUPER 8

U11 = Boys and Girls teams are formed based on skill levels and play in two different levels. BLUE/WHITE
U12 = Boys and Girls teams are formed based on skill levels and play in two different levels. BLUE/WHITE
U13 = Boys and Girls teams are formed based on skill levels and play in two different levels. BLUE/WHITE
*U11 – U13 teams play an interlocking schedule against other L.I.S.A. clubs with possible trips to Cowichan, Salt Spring Island or Sooke
*The number of teams formed at each age group will be dependent on the amount of players who register
*Depending on registration numbers, dual age group teams may be formed and/or teams may be pooled with a neighbouring club (Prospect Lake Soccer Club)
*Game results and standings are not officially recorded at the Super 8 level

 

FULL FIELD 

U14 = Boys and Girls teams will be formed based on skill levels GOLD / SILVER / BRONZE
U15 = Boys and Girls teams will be formed based on skill levels GOLD / SILVER / BRONZE
U16 = Boys and Girls teams will be formed based on skill levels GOLD / SILVER / BRONZE
U17 = Boys and Girls teams will be formed based on skill levels GOLD / SILVER / BRONZE
U18 = Boys and Girls teams will be formed based on skill levels GOLD / SILVER / BRONZE
*U11 – U18 teams play an interlocking schedule against other L.I.S.A. clubs with possible trips to Cowichan, Salt Spring Island or Sooke
*The number of teams formed at each age group will be dependent on the amount of players who register

*Currently PFC pools with Prospect Lake Soccer Club to form teams at the GOLD level for players U14 and older

PRACTICE TIMES

U6 – One 45 minute session Saturday (11:00am ) at Blue Heron

U8  & U10 – One (60 minute) mid-week practice 5:30pm TUE or WED at either Blue Heron or Iroquois Park

U11 – U18 – One or Two  (60-90 minute ) mid-week practices (MON/WED, MON/THUR or TUE/THUR at either Blue Heron, Iroquois Park or Alexander Field)

*Pooled teams with PLSC should alternate practice locations each week between PFC and PLSC

*The above listed practice times are based on previous seasons.  Practice schedules for the current year are dictated by how many teams the club will be fielding…and may change slightly from what is listed

VOLUNTEERING

PFC Soccer is an organization that depends entirely on volunteers to operate. Without them we would have no executive, coaches or managers.

A minimum of 10 hours of volunteer time per family must be contributed over the season by a parent, guardian or relative of the player.

Volunteer opportunities occur throughout the season (including the off season) that will allow you to reach your requirement
