Construction Has Started on the New Blue Heron Park Playground

The fence is up and the ground is broken. Construction on our new playground at Blue Heron Park is officially underway.

This has been a long time coming. After months of planning with our sponsor, our landlord the Memorial Park Society, and designer and installer Ashley at SwingTime, the design is built and on site. What you see in these renderings is what’s going in.

Two full play structures, slides, climbing nets, monkey bars, a spinner, and benches and picnic tables for parents. It’s built for a wide age range, so younger siblings have somewhere to go while their brother or sister is on the pitch.

When will it open?

We’re aiming to have it ready for the start of the season. Installation timelines can move, so we’ll post updates here and on our social channels as the build progresses. We’ll let you know the moment it’s open.

Please keep clear of the site

The playground area is an active construction zone until it’s finished and inspected. Fencing and signage are in place. Please keep children well clear of the site before and after practices, and talk to your kids about staying out of the work area even when nobody’s on site.
